Denmark win 4-3 against Moldova.
In a tight match, the first of the Round of 16, Denmark’s Dorph launched his goal just a minute into the game to give his side a 1-0 advantage, but this didn’t last long as Moldova fired back with two goals from Sîrghi and Cojocari to put them ahead 2-1 by the end of the first period.

Frandsen got the equaliser for Denmark, and Lucht gave them a 3-2 lead. Again, this was leveled almost immediately by Cojocari’s brace goal for Moldova.

The third period saw intense efforts by both sides to earn a win, but the Danish side pulled through courtesy of Wegeberg’s goal midway through the period, to earn qualification to the next phase.

France win 5-4 against Ukraine, after extra-time.
In the highly intense match between France and Ukraine, the action unfolded rapidly with back-to-back attacks and defensive plays in the first period. Ukraine quickly secured a two-goal lead through Lystopad and Levchenko, but France’s Varrel reduced the deficit.

Ukraine entered the second period with a 2-1 lead and increased their tally with Pashko’s strike. However, France’s Gosselin scored a late goal, trimming the deficit to 3-2.

The third period was even more intense, with both teams aware that the winner would advance. France’s Bru briefly levelled the game 3-3, but Pashko restored Ukraine’s lead. With just one minute left to play, France’s Maison equalised, sending the match into extra time. Basquaise goal for France gave his side the slim 5-4 win, but was enough to get them a spot in the next phase.

Switzerland win 6-3 against Estonia.
In a one-sided match, Switzerland dominated right from kickoff, with Misev’s goal and Hodel’s strike late in the first period to secure a 2-0 lead.

In the second period, the Swiss added four more goals, courtesy of Soacca and Borer’s braces. Raku got Estonia’s first goal in the match, ending the second period with Switzerland still firmly ahead, 6-1.

The third period saw Estonia attempt a comeback, with two goals from Marmor and Munskind, but it wasn’t enough to stop Switzerland’s cruise into the next round, with a 6-3 victory.

Poland win 3-1 against Germany.
In another winner-takes-all showdown, Poland and Germany engaged in a closely contested match. However, Poland seized the initiative, scoring through Poźniak late in the first period to take a 1-0 lead.

Poland extended their advantage in the second period, with Błaszczyk and Brochocki netting to establish a 3-0 cushion entering the final period.

In the third period, Germany’s Olli broke through, but Poland maintained their focus, preserving their 3-1 lead to secure victory and advancement to the next phase.

Italy win 9-2 against England.
The match between Italy and England was an eleven-goal thriller that began with an Italian onslaught of four goals in the first period. Alla, Fazzini, Andriani, and Barsorri all contributed to the 4-0 advantage.


The second period saw no respite for England, as Italy increased their tally by another four goals, courtesy of Bertacca, Remedi, Zurlo, and Sciacca. Clarke managed to find the net for England, but it was merely a consolation in the face of Italy’s dominance.

As Italy entered the final period with a comfortable 8-1 lead, Grossett’s goal immediately after the restart seemed like a potential awakening. However, it proved to be a fleeting moment, as the Italian side capped their resounding victory with Remedi’s second goal, finishing 9-2 and cruising into the next phase.

Portugal win 13-5 against Azerbaijan.
The match between Portugal and Azerbaijan was highly expected to be an intense one, and it didn’t disappoint. Five goals were recorded in the first period, with Azerbaijan’s Orkhan netting a brace for his side. Portugal responded with three goals from Jordan, Bernardo, and Pintado to take a 3-2 lead.

The second period saw Portugal strike again with a brace from Jordan, and goals from the Martin brothers and Pedro. Azerbaijan also found the net with goals from Ramil and Sabir, but trailed behind Portugal’s 8-4 lead.

Portugal exploded in the third period with five goals, including Bernardo’s brace, Pintado’s second goal, and strikes from Diogo and Lourenço, securing a 13-5 victory that landed them in the next round. Orkhan’s hat-trick goal in the period was just a consolation for his side.

Spain win 13-2 against Belgium.
In another high-octane match between host Spain and Belgium, Suli Batis, Kuman, and Pedro found the net for Spain to secure an early 3-0 lead in the first period.

Belgium’s La Rocca and Tilly secured two goals for their side in the second period. However, Spain added four to further widen the goal gap in the period, courtesy of Kuman and Suli Batis’ brace goals, including Chiky Ardil and Ridu’s strikes for Spain.

Spain with a 7-2 lead into the third period, emphatically sealed their advancement to the next phase with a 13-2 score line. Suli Batis scored his hat-trick goal, and Ridu added his second. Joselito got his brace, Oliver and D. Ardil also contributed to the scoresheet for Spain.
