The group stages have come to a close in Luque, Paraguay
The competition got started on 3rd December 2023 at the Estadio Mundialista Los Pynandi, as teams battled in the group stages for eight available places in quarter-finals.
In Group A, reigning champions, Presidente Hayes booked their place in the final eight of the competition after picking up victories against Bolivian side, Hamacas and Venezuelan team, Guaicamacuto. After a strong group phase, Unión Lurín came out as group winners to progress to the next stage, whilst Guaicamacuto also advanced.
After all accumulating six points each in the group phase, Libertad, Antioquia BS and Camba Pizzero all secured places in the next round from Group B.
Finally, after a flawless group stage, Brazilian outfit, Sampaio Correa qualified as Group C winners and San Antonio joined them in the next round, finishing second.
