Twelve teams will participate the competition, which is to take place between 26th November and 2nd December
The 2018 edition of the Copa Libertadores de Fútbol Playa, organized by CONMEBOL will see the twelve teams taking part battle for supremacy in South America. The clubs now know who their opponents in the group stage of the competition are, following the official draw held yesterday at CONMEBOL headquarters.
The tournament, which will take place in the Parque Olímpico de Barra de Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), between the 26th of November and the 2nd of December, will see the ten national champions of the CONMEBOL area, plus the defending champions Vasco da Gama, vie for the cup.
The two representatives from Brazil (as the hosts, Brazil has the right to have one extra team in the competition) will be revealed at the end of the week, with the conclusion of the Brazilian National Championship, held as of today at the very same Parque Olímpico.
After the draw, the groups look like this:
Group A: Vasco da Gama (BRA) – Puerta del Lago (PAR) – Delfín SC (ECU) – CD La 25 Export (COL)
Group B: Brasil 2 (BRA) – Hamacas FC (BOL) – Code Iquique (CHI) – Academia Tito Drago (PER)
Group C: CA Bella Vista (URU) – Monagas Difalo (VEN) – Acassuso (ARG) – Brasil 3 (BRA)
