This initiative underscores BSWW’s unwavering dedication to nurturing beach soccer globally while fostering growth and accessibility within communities.
The Carioca Beach Project goes beyond the sport itself, promoting inclusivity and access to physical activity for underserved communities. In collaboration with its partners, BSWW seeks to empower Brazil’s youth, particularly those in vulnerable situations, by providing not only athletic opportunities but also resources for education and personal growth. Set on the iconic Leblon Beach in Rio de Janeiro, the Carioca Beach Project is more than just a sports program. It serves as a beacon of inclusion and hope, catering to children aged 7 to 14—primarily from the Vidigal community and other socio-economically challenged areas. This initiative offers them a safe and inspiring space to hone their skills and chase their dreams.
Today, the project involves 60 children, both boys and girls, who come together to embrace beach soccer. Beyond promoting physical fitness, the sport instills core values like teamwork, discipline, and respect, enriching their lives far beyond the game.
The project’s influence extends off the sand, fostering connections and building solidarity within the community. By inspiring participants to dream big and strive for their goals, the Carioca Beach Project embodies BSWW’s commitment to empowering the next generation and driving positive change through the universal language of sport.
