The Tetracampeão blast Mexico in the decider (2-11) as Spain clinch the second place after running past Bahamas
The Brazilian National side bagged the cup in Playa del Carmen (Mexico) after a stunning performance in the decider of this BSWW Riviera Maya. Junior Negão?s lads gave the hosts no option at all and displayed a terrifically inspired beach soccer to build a loud win.
The 2000 people packing the stands at the Beach Stadium in Mamita?s Beach Club got ready to witness a battle between two classic contenders. These two sides, indeed, contested for the World crown in the final of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2007, and, just like on that occasion, Brazil behaved like Brazil today, and prevailed to pack the trophy home.
Yet in the first period of the game, the Brazilian artillery blasted the Azteca resistance, to open a wide gap that made things really uphill for Félix Martínez?s lads. A 1-5 is something really difficult to combat, and it becomes a true nightmare when you have Brazil in front of you.
The verdeamarela did not pull the brake at any moment, and scored two more goals before Isaac Rodríguez, the tournament?s MVP, replied for the Mexicans. Little options were left for the hosts at that point, though, and the Tetracampeão went on with their tyrannical dominion, even punishing that last hit with four more goals. The loud 2-11 leave little room for speculation, and certify the brilliant performance by Brazil all across the weekend.
Spain knock Bahamas down to clinch second place in Riviera Maya Cup
Spain could finally get the second place in this BSWW Riviera Maya Cup 2013, after running past Bahamas in the first game today. Spaniards have brought on a laudable recovery after losing opening game against Brazil, and have grasped all points at stake from that moment on.
Bahamas could not cope with the pace imposed by La Roja, and were faced to an almost definitive 4-0 after the first twelve minutes. That was a heavy weight for the Caribbean side, especially after the huge effort they had been doing during the whole weekend, facing terrible opponents.
One more goal, by Llorenç, in the beginning of the second leg finished all Bahamian options, and sealed the second consecutive win for Spain, who clinch the silver in this amusing BSWW Riviera Maya Cup 2013.
