A Clean the Beach action , with all teams and organizers involved, takes place before the BSWW Tour – Copa Beach Soccer Viña del Mar kicks off
The Beach Soccer Foundation spearheaded a new Clean the Beach activity which took place Friday, January 23rd with a slew of local and international participants. The clean-up is just one way of many that beach soccer gives back to local communities and this particular effort also serves as a symbol of the commencement of the BSWW Tour Copa Beach Soccer Viña del Mar 2015, set for a kick-off at 18:00 local time.
Cleaning beaches is as important to the locals as it is to the visitors and today, like other similar events, there were all the players from the tournaments’ teams, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, and Uruguay, cheerleaders, promoters, and beach soccer officials, all giving their time and energy to help. This small act of generosity will help to sustain a clean and safe beach in the Viña del Mar area that the citizens of the city can be proud of.
Simplicity is the key to these project and they can be universally practiced. We cannot make new beaches but we can keep the ones that are here clean. A small donation of time can make a world of difference to beaches everywhere. The Beach Soccer Foundation has a history of charitable events ranging from the environmental clean-up like this event to helping needy children in other parts of the world.
