Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) is proud to announce the launch of the “A Goal for Acapulco” campaign, a heartfelt initiative aimed at supporting the community of Acapulco in the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Otis. This catastrophic event, which began on October 25, 2023, left a trail of destruction, resulting in significant loss of life, missing persons, and widespread damage to the region.
At BSWW, we believe it is our responsibility to step up in moments of need. As part of the campaign, we are contributing official beach soccer balls to Mundo Imperial, a trusted local organization that will ensure these are distributed to community organizations and entities most affected by the hurricane. This is not just about beach soccer; it’s about using our sport as a vehicle to uplift and support a resilient community as it rebuilds.
Coming Together to Make a Difference
In addition to donations, we are organizing a beach cleanup in one of the affected areas, symbolizing our commitment to restoring not only Acapulco’s beaches but also its spirit. We invite the teams participating in the Acapulco Beach Soccer Cup to join this initiative and be part of this collective effort.
We also encourage teams, organizations, and individuals to consider contributing in other ways, such as donating jerseys or any materials that could aid in the recovery efforts. Every gesture, no matter how small, contributes to the rebuilding of this vibrant community.
