Amarelle, Schirinzi and Guga are the nominees for the 2022 Best Coach award
Another group of nominees has been revealed – these are the three coaches nominated for the Best Coach trophy:
– Ramiro Amarelle, Coach of UAE
– Angelo Schirinzi, Coach of Switzerland
– Guga Zloccowick, Coach of Saudi Arabia
Spaniard Ramiro Amarelle has been nominated for the award for the first time, after being appointed as head coach of UAE national team earlier in the year, and impressing in his short tenure.
This is the sixth time that the Swiss legend Angelo Schirinzi has been nominated for the award – more than any other coach – following another remarkable season, where he led Switzerland to their first European crown in 10 years at the 2022 EBSL Superfinal in Italy.
Meanwhile, Brazilian Guga Zloccowick, who has headed the Saudi national beach soccer team for a number of years now, has brought the young squad to a competitive level on the world stage, impressing in the Casablanca Beach Soccer Cup and the WAFF Championships. This is the first time Guga has been nominated for this award.
