The Catalan Capital will host the best beach soccer clubs from the 1st-3rd of May for the playoff event
May 1st-3rd is an important date to mark on your calendar. It will be the Barcelona Beach Soccer Cup, and it is the inaugural event. The format will be win and advance, or lose and watch from the stands or the couch. The teams are set and they are some the most recognizable and talented teams in the world. The teams are as follows: FC Barcelona (ESP), Valencia CF (ESP), Sporting Clube de Portugal (POR), Boca Juniors (BRA), CR Flamengo (BRA), Lokomotiv Moscow (RUS), Bate Borisov (BLR), SK Galatasaray (TUR).
The competition was officially presented today, at the FC Barcelona Sport Center, with the presence of Jordi Cardoner, FC Barcelona vice-president, Maite Fandos, deputy mayor of the Barcelona City Council, Ramiro Amarelle, FC Barcelona captain and coach, and Alex Soriano, event director.
The draw was also held at the event presentation, setting up the fixtures for the quarterfinals, as well as the way to the cup.
