Baltic & Scandinavian clubs kick off new league

Copenhagen currently lead the Baltic & Scandinavian Beach Soccer League after four matches


The first stage of a brand-new beach soccer competition, organised by the Estonian Football Association in cooperation with Beach Soccer Worldwide, took place in Estonia at the weekend.

Eight clubs are taking part in the Baltic & Scandinavian Beach Soccer League: SK Augur Enemat (EST), BSC Thunder Arvutitark (EST), BSC Pärnu (EST), Nõmme BSC OlyBet (EST), Bemannia FC Stockholm (SWE), Vides Tehnika (LTA), BSC LAT (LTA) and BSC Copenhagen (DEN).

Copenhagen currently lead the ranking after winning all of their games, taking 11 from a possible 12 points. Behind them are hosts of the first phase, SK Auger Enemat, as well as Nõmme BSC OlyBet (EST) and Bemannia FC Stockholm (SWE), all on six points.

Several top international beach soccer players appeared in the tournament, including Ukraine national team players Maksym Voitok, Roman Pachev, Andrii Pashko (playing for Vides Tehnika), Danish internationals Axel Damm, Casper Dorph (BSC Copenhagen), and Estonia national team players Kristian Marmor and Sander Lepik (SK Augur Enemat).

The next Baltic & Scandinavian Beach Soccer League stage will take place in Copenhagen on 9 and 10 July.
