AWBG Qualifier El Salvador ready for kick-off

The tournament will be played between 6 and 8 April


Everything is ready at the Estádio Nacional Costa del Sol for the ANOC World Beach Games Qualifier El Salvador to begin. All teams have already done the official training sessions at the stadium and are ready to fight for a place in Bali in August.

The event was officially presented in a press conference attended by Rodolfo Mena, tournament director and representative of INDES; the President of ISTU, Eny Aguiñada; the President of the National Charity Lottery, Javier Milián; the Director of Tigo Sports, Luis Padilla; and the Director of Events of Beach Soccer Worldwide, Josep Ponset.

Mena mentioned: “At INDES we are grateful to always have the support of other institutions and strategic partners who believe in us and contribute to sports development, especially in support of beach soccer.”

Josep Ponset thanked all the institutions that made this event possible and highlighted the important role that El Salvador has been playing in the development of beach soccer in the regions. The Director of Events of Beach Soccer Worldwide reminded that two places in Bali will be at stake in both the men’s and women’s category.

The men’s tournament will consist of a knockout competition, where the two finalists will qualify for the ANOC World Beach Games 2023, while the women’s competition will be played in a league format where the top two teams will earn a place in Bali.

The competition kicks off this Thursday at 14:45h local time, and you can watch all matches on BeachSoccer TV.
