Following two new wins today, Albiceleste and Verdeamarela will square off for the Copa San Luis tomorrow
Brazil strengthens position
The Brazilian team has taken Argentina and Merlo by storm. Junior Negão and his Brazilian squad remain untouchable in the Copa San Luis Fútbol Playa after offering more harsh punishment to today’s opponent, the Mexican National Team. Eight more goals, only two less than their opening match, outlasted Mexico. Brazil is striking fear in the hearts of the opponents.
The Brazilian hammer struck the Tri early and often. Bokinha connected a few minutes after the opening whistle, then the keeper, Mao, scored from his own area, and Eudin added another goal to increase the lead to 3-0. Late in the period Marin tried to rescue the Aztecs and scored a goal of his own, keeping Mexico in the game.
The Brazilians took the momentum from the opening kick of the second with a goal from Muñoz. Datinha and Lucão padded the Yellow and Green lead with two more goals, and that left the score at 6-1. Eudin was not satisfied and extended the lead with a long distance shot early in the third period. Marin hit again for the Mexicans, but the score was out of reach, and the match would end 8-2, after a late goal by Mauricinho.
With six out of a possible six points, the canarinha have scored 18 goals and they continue their tyrannical rule in the Parque Recreativo at Merlo. Only Argentina, in the deciding game tomorrow, can change the final standings.

Argentina wins to set up decisive match
The Albiceleste could not afford a setback today against one of its biggest rivals, neighboring Uruguay, if it wanted to stay the course in playing for the Cup against Brazil tomorrow. Hector Petrasso made sure of that, forcefully imposing his selection to score six goals and keep that dream intact.
The lefty Larreta opened the scoring for the hosts in the first period. After him, Argentina maintained their pressure and kept Uruguay on their heels. The rain made it difficult to play on a waterlogged field but even that could not stop the Albiceleste momentum or the hopes for tomorrow’s final match against Brazil.
With an attacking formula, the hosts continued to press and punish Uruguay, who could not find enough offense to earn the win. In an prolific offensive output, Argentina brought the score of 1-0 to 6-0 in the second period, and that basically decided the match. The Argentines proved their prowess as they held off the Uruguayans and made sure that they faced Brazil with something to prove, being the best team on the sand. The clash of the titans, Brazil and Argentina will take place at 14:15 h, on the sands of Merlo in the Copa San Luis Futbol Playa final on Sunday.
