The Portugal keeper has confident words ahead of Euro Beach Soccer League in Nazaré
The Portuguese team arrived in Nazaré on Monday ahead of 2018’s second installment of the Euro Beach Soccer League and the attitude of goalkeeper, Elinton Andrade, indicates confidence and ambition among Mario Narciso’s men…
“We have already secured qualification for Superfinal, but we want to win all three games and finish first.” His comments come on the back of the team’s great success in the first EBSL event of the year. Portugal didn’t drop a point in Baku, Azerbaijan two weeks ago, taking nine out of a possible nine over their three games.
The number 12, who won the Best Goalkeeper award in both the Mundialito in Almada and the EBSL in Baku, went on to state, “I say that we can beat Turkey, Ukraine and Spain, but we have to prove our worth on the pitch. There are no easy games in beach football these days.”
“Our audience gives us a magical energy…we like to play in Portugal because the stadiums are always full…we want to build on the triumphs that we have achieved since the beginning of the season.”
Portugal’s first game in Nazaré will be on Friday 6th July, against Turkey at 16:30 local time. Remember that you can watch this game, as well as the rest of the upcoming action, live on the Beach Soccer Worldwide website.
