The Red Knights bend Fujeirah in the final, to keep on top of the Emirati Beach Soccer
Al Ahli keeps ruling the United Arab Emirates Beach Soccer panorama with an iron fist. The Dubai-based side clinched the UAE Beach Soccer President Cup after edging Fujeirah 8-5 in the final, played this last Sunday.
As always, Al Ahli banked on a truly competitive squad, with some players from the UAE National side plus some relevant foreigners. Together with the stars Madjer and Belchior, the reds recruited another key player of the European side: Jordan Santos, who precisely scored four goals in the decider against Fujeirah. To noone’s surprise, Madjer was the top scorer in the competition, with 13 goals, four of them scored in the final, too.
In their road to the final, the Red knights had to overpower important opponents such as Kalba or league runner ups Al Nasr.
The pace does not flag now in the United Arab Emirates, as this coming weekend the UAE Beach Soccer Supercup will be played, and one week later, in January 25th, the National Beach Soccer League will kick-off.
