AD Pastéis are the new Portuguese champions

The team from Lisbon beat the defending champions Sótão in the final


The second edition of the Portuguese “Campeonato Nacional” saw AD Pastéis lift the trophy, succeeding ACD “O Sótão” as the competition’s winners.

In the final at the “Estádio do Viveiro – Jordan dos Santos” in Nazaré precisely against the defending champions, Pastéis took the lead with goals from Joana Meira and Jamila Marreiros in the first period.
Andreia Silva extended the lead at the start of the second period, giving Pastéis a three-goal lead, but the team from Nazaré reacted and goals from Jéssica Santos and Ema Toscano put the match back into discussion.
Sótão tried through all means to equalise in the final period, but Pastéis managed to secure the win to be crowned the new Portuguese champions.

AD Nazaré 2022 finished the competition in third place after defeating UR Cadima in the third-place play-off six goals to three.
