Sun safety takes centre stage with IdroSun dispenser debut at EBSL Andalucía El Puerto de Santa María 2026

Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) and The Beach Soccer Foundation proudly introduced the first-ever IdroSun sunscreen dispensers at an international beach soccer event during the Euro Beach Soccer League Andalucía El Puerto de Santa María 2026, marking another step in the organisations’ commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles through sport.

Strategically installed across the venue, including the players’ tunnel, public entrance and staff offices, the dispensers provided free sunscreen to players, officials, volunteers, staff and spectators throughout the competition.

The initiative was designed to encourage regular sunscreen application during prolonged exposure to the sun, helping reduce the risk of sunburn and long-term skin damage while raising awareness of the importance of skin cancer prevention.

With beach soccer played in outdoor environments and often under intense sunshine, promoting sun-safe behaviour is an essential part of creating a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. By making sunscreen easily accessible, the activation encouraged attendees to take simple preventive measures without interrupting their enjoyment of the event.

The introduction of the IdroSun dispensers also reflects BSWW’s responsibility to prioritise the well-being of the entire beach soccer community, offering a practical service that benefits everyone on site.

This activation forms part of The Beach Soccer Foundation’s broader mission to use the power of sport to inspire healthier lifestyles and positive habits beyond the field of play. By encouraging preventive health practices, the initiative aims to leave a lasting legacy that extends well beyond the final whistle.

Following a successful debut in El Puerto de Santa María, BSWW and The Beach Soccer Foundation will continue exploring opportunities to expand similar health-focused initiatives at future events, reinforcing their commitment to the welfare of players, officials, fans and local communities alike.
