The Euro Winners Challenge 2026 got underway in Nazaré with an explosive opening day, as teams from all four groups took to the sand to secure their first points of the competition. The first round of fixtures delivered a thrilling mix of tightly contested battles, including Chiavari BS’s narrow 3-2 win and double-digit goal fests that saw Marseille BT and GDU Ericeirense make massive early statements with dominant 14-1 and 13-1 triumphs respectively.

Group A
Marseille BT win 14-1 against Iraklis Xyl.
The opening period saw Marseille BT race to a commanding 3-0 advantage heading into the first break. Sebastian’s goal just a minute into the game opened the scoresheet and set the tone, before Pedro and Paulo both found the back of the net to comfortably increase the tally.

In the second period, Iraklis Xyl. briefly found a response through Tamer to reduce their deficit by one. However, with just two minutes left to play in the period, Reyder made it 4-1 for Marseille BT. The momentum firmly shifted back as it quickly became 6-1 by the end of the period, courtesy of Ousfane and Reyder’s second goal of the match.
The final period saw an absolute goalfest as Marseille BT secured a massive 14-1 victory. Paulo, Ousfane, and Pedro Luca all secured their hat-tricks to stretch the lead to 9-1, before Reyder also completed his hat-trick to push it to 10-1. Pedro Luca then scored twice in quick succession, followed by another from Reyder, before Paulo sealed the 14-1 rampage in the closing moments.
GD Sesimbra win 5-1 against AD Pasteis
The match between both Portuguese sides saw a goalless opening period. Despite strong efforts and end-to-end action from both sides, neither team could find the crucial finishing touch to convert their chances.

In the second period, the deadlock was finally broken midway through the period. André P. found the net for GD Sesimbra, giving his side a slim 1-0 lead which they successfully held onto until the whistle blew for the second break.
The final period saw the offenses come alive as GD Sesimbra secured a 5-1 victory. Algarvio doubled the lead just a minute after the restart, though an unfortunate own-goal briefly gave AD Pasteis a lifeline to make it 2-1. Algarvio quickly struck again to increase the tally to 3-1, and Bernardo ultimately sealed the decisive win with a late double.
Group B
Chiavari BS win 3-2 against CB Viseu
Goup B games saw CB Viseu take an early advantage heading into the first break. Martim found the back of the net to give his side a 1-0 lead, putting the pressure on their opponents right from the start.

In the second period, Chiavari BS fought back to level the game at 1-1 just two minutes into the frame, courtesy of a crucial strike from Calonge that reset the momentum.
The final period saw Chiavari BS surge ahead as they took the lead with two goals, courtesy of Gandolfo and Calonge’s second of the match. A late effort by CB Viseu saw Daniel find the net to close the gap, but they ultimately ran out of time as Chiavari BS secured a slim 3-2 victory.
ACD O Sótão B win 6-4 against Mouilleron SF
ACD O Sótão B comfortably secure a 3-0 advantage heading into the first break, taking absolute control of the game early on with goals via Tiagi, Rui, and Manuel.

Picado pulled one back for Mouilleron SF midway through the second period, but Martim responded immediately to restore the three-goal cushion for ACD O Sótão B. A late goal from Mornet closed the gap once again for Mouilleron SF, though they still went into the break trailing 4-2.
The final period saw an intense back-and-forth exchange as the teams traded goals. Bernardo extended the lead for ACD O Sótão B, before Billet quickly responded for Mouilleron SF. In the frantic last minute, Dinis added another for ACD O Sótão B, and although Billet found the net once more to claim his brace, ACD O Sótão B comfortably secured a 6-4 victory.
Group C
Hamrun win 4-1 against Kefallinia AO BS
Hamrun take a 1-0 lead heading into the first break, thanks to Edinho securing the only goal of the period to put his side ahead.

In the second period, William doubled the lead for Hamrun. Kefallinia AO BS struggled to find their feet and were unable to respond, as the game headed toward the final period.
The third period saw Alex flash a glimmer of comeback hope for Kefallinia AO BS with a goal just two minutes after the restart. However, this momentum was quickly cut short by a brace from Toni, as Hamrun firmly secured a 4-1 victory.
FC Genappe win 7-1 against AD Nazaré B
The opening period saw FC Genappe comfortably secure a 3-0 advantage heading into the first break, courtesy of an early brace from Nuno and an additional strike from Fox.

In the second period, an unfortunate own-goal by AD Nazaré B increased the tally for FC Genappe, extending their lead to 4-0 as they maintained absolute control heading into the second break.
The final period saw FC Genappe add three more goals via a brace from Buscema and a strike by David. Manuel managed to find the net for AD Nazaré B, but it served only as a late consolation as FC Genappe cruised to a 7-1 victory.
Group D
Naxos BS win 7-4 against Union Vrede BS
The game delivered an exciting back-and-forth battle heading into the first break. Naxos BS got ahead early with a brilliant goal from Caltabiano, but moments later, Tchided put the game back on level terms for Union Vrede BS. Distefano quickly responded to put Naxos BS back in a 2-1 lead, but a last-minute strike from Rose ensured the game was deadlocked at 2-2 heading into the first break.

In the second period, Naxos BS regained control. Caltabiano netted his second of the game and Lança also found the back of the net, ensuring a solid 4-2 advantage for their side heading into the final period.
Hanon’s early goal reduced the deficit for Union Vrede BS, but Villani quickly restored the two-goal cushion for Naxos BS. Gago then got his name on the scoresheet to once again bring Union Vrede BS within striking distance, but late goals from Batista and Caltabiano who completed his hat-trick ultimately sealed the 7-4 win for Naxos BS.
GDU Ericeirense win 13-1 against CCD Porto Mendo
Iga recorded the only goal of the opening period to give GDU Ericeirense a slim 1-0 lead as they settled into the game.

GDU Ericeirense began to pull away and extend their advantage in the second period. Wreneck and Von both found the net to increase the tally, pushing the score to 3-0 while CCD Porto Mendo struggled to find an answers.
The final period saw an absolute offensive explosion as GDU Ericeirense fired in ten goals to claim a massive 13-1 victory. Rafti, Valido, Pereira, Xavier, Sonaldo, Merendas, and Wreneck were all on target during the relentless onslaught. CCD Porto Mendo managed to grab a single consolation goal, but the match firmly belonged to GDU Ericeirense.
