Bruno Xavier got his second hat-trick of Tahiti 2013 as Brazil cruised past Senegal 8-3 to top Group C.
The result looked rarely in doubt after Daniel opened the scoring after 95 seconds. Xavier opened his account for the night, but the best of the contest was to follow when Bruno Malias capped off a sublime move.
Koukpaki reduced Senegal’s arrears, before Xavier doubled his own personal tally, but by now the Lions of Teranga were well on their way to accruing eight separate bookings over the night.
Their indiscipline finally caught up with them, when Mamadou Sylla picked up his second yellow card of the night, but against the odds the African side pulled one back through Fall.
It initially looked as if the goal was not going to be given ? as the ball was blocked on the line ? but in a fine sporting gesture by Xavier, he told referee Suwat Wongsuwan it had in fact gone in.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Senegal held out until the ever-present face of Brazil at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Andre, struck for the sixth tournament running, before getting a second moments later.
Xavier then wrapped up his treble, before Jorginho nodded in right on the final buzzer.
