This weekend’s action in Rostock will be broadcast live and direct via the DFB.
The German Beach Soccer Championship takes place this weekend with fans across the world able to tune in and watch live via the DFB’s website.
Held in Warnemunde, Rostock, around 5,000 fans are expected to attend across Saturday and Sunday as home favourites Rostocker Robben seek to defend the title they won last year.
Two-time champions BST Chemnitz are the only other side to have lifted the trophy and will also be present, alongside Ibbenburener BSC, Beach Royals Dusseldorf, Hohensee United and Hertha BSC
The competition gets under way with BST Chemnitz against Hertha BSC on Saturday at 10:00 local time, with the final scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 15.30.
All six teams will compete in groups of three on Saturday before the final games a day later, with beach soccer fans across the globe able to enjoy the action via the DFB’s live stream.
“The past years have shown that the German Beach Soccer Championship will be very well received by crowds,” said Rainer Milkoreit, vice-president for beach soccer at the DFB.
“And this weekend we can look again forward to more spectacular beach soccer. Every beach soccer player is eager to compete in the German Beach Soccer Championship in Warnemunde.”
