The Bianconeri edge Sambenedettese in the penalty shootout to seize the only Trophy they didn’t have yet
Viareggio BS claimed the Supercoppa Aon 2018 following their win over 2017 Serie A champions Happy Car Sambenedettese yesterday.
The game was an fiercely contested battle all throughout, and could only be decided in the penalty kick shootout, with regular and extra time finishing with 2-2 in the score.
The two goals by Viareggio BS captain Simone Marinai helped his team resist the Sambenedettese’s efforts, and Carpita’s save in the penalty kick shootout finally sealed the win for Santini’s lads.
This win gets Viareggio BS, 2017 Coppa champions, the only trophy they did not have in their cabinet.
Serie A Finals this weekend
