The only two clubs to remain unbeaten will meet in the final of the Campeonato Brasileiro de Beach Soccer
There is just one matchday left of the Campeonato Brasileiro de Beach Soccer 2020, as the defending champions remain on course to retain the title…
In the first of Saturday’s semi-finals, the Carioca Clasico was a tightly fought contest, but Vasco da Gama, spearheaded by the clinical Lucao who netted another hat-trick, managed to just edge Flamengo by seven goal to six.
The winner came from an unlikely hero though, as a long-range and late strike from the Cruzmaltino keeper Rafa Padilha snatched the victory for Vasco da Gama, who will face Sampaio Corrêa in the final on Sunday.
The Tricolor de São Pantaleão earned their place in the final in another close semi-final match-up, against a Portuguese-bolstered Anchieta.
However, the captain Datinha once again proved the difference for Sampaio Corrêa, as he scored three and managed to keep the like of Be and Leo Martins, as well as the current World’s Best Player Jordan Santos and the former Best Player Bruno Xavier, under control.
The star-studded Anchieta will now face Flamengo in the battle for third place, as the national eagerly awaits a repeat of the 2017 final.
