6 teams from all the country take part in a new edition of the Emirati National Championship as of this Friday 11th
One of the most competitive National beach soccer Leagues worldwide, the UAE National Championship comes back in full force this same weekend. The 2016 edition of the Emirati league, fully backed and supported by the UAE Football Association, kicks off this Friday 11th, bringing 13 thrilling matchdays for the following two months.
Together with champions Al Ahli, five other clubs will be fighting on the sand, trying to snatch the Knights the National throne. The competition format will feature a first group stage, with round robin, double leg competition, followed by semi–finals and finals.
The National Coach, Guga Zloccowick, will be one of the most attentive spectators to this competition, which he considers a great step forward. “The full involvement and support of the UAE Football Association means an important advance, and the competition will for sure bring some new interesting players that can reinforce the National Team. I am really thrilled with this 2016 UAE National League.”
The League will be running until the end of May, but National beach soccer will go on after the League finals, with the UAE Supercup and the UAE Cup coming in the second semester of the year.
