Brazil and Mexico will battle tomorrow for the BSWW Miami Cup 2011 after their victories today. USA keep their chances
Mexico knocks Spain out with a convincing victory (3-7)
The Old and the New continents clashed today in the opening fixture of the second matchday of this exciting Beach Soccer Worldwide Cup 2011 taking place in South Beach this weekend. Spain and Mexico stand for two of the most powerful sides of Europe and America, and brought a leveled match that staged all the best things this sport treasures: amazing saves, unbelievable overhead kicks, loads of magic and an uplifting loud atmosphere. And goals, of course, four of which left the score 1-3 for Mexico at the end of the first period and began laying the foundations of a solid triumph by Ramon Raya’s lads.
Goalkeepers took the leading role in the second period, blocking any attempt at both ends, and leaving the score untouched, at least until the 8th minute of that time. At that moment, Kuman sent a free kick straight in to begin a possible comeback for the Spaniards. López cut the Roja growth with his third goal today, but Javi Torres insisted with the 3-4 in the first minutes of the last period to keep trying their chance back in the game.
But nothing worked further that point for Spain, and Morgan Plata managed to immediately dismantle their inspiration again, with the 3-5 before it was too late for the Azteca side. Villalobos made that gap even wider after taking advantage of a penalty kick to get the widest distance for Mexico so far and Rodríguez finished the match with the seventh ‘Tri’ hit and secured the first three points for the current CONCACAF champions in this Beach Soccer Worldwide Miami Cup 2011. If they managed to beat Brazil tomorrow, they could end up snatching the Cup.

Brazil heads for the Cup (2-7)
Brazil have come to Miami to bring the Cup home. They will not resign themselves to anything else, and they keep setting it clear every time the jump onto the sand. If they have the chance to bend their opponent with the loudest victory, they do not hesitate a single second in making it happen. The USA National team was the victim of their superb talent today, and saw how Soare’s team let them few doors open to try something, if any. Although this defeat, the USA still keep their options to lift the Cup in the last matchday tomorrow, always provided they win a chanceless Spain.
The Verdeamarela needed just two minutes to begin their devastating pace. It was Buru the one to open the score with a penalty kick, to be followed by teammate Anderson for the 0-2 which closed the first period. Jorginho made the 3-0 possible right after the break with an astonishing volley, and although Farberoff cut that distance a bit, the Brazilian roller stopped not their advance and raised their advantage up to an unattainable 1-6 at the second horn.
Little expectations could hail the USA’s efforts at that time, but Farberoff embodied his team spirit for the 2-6, voicing that this is their cup, and they would not die without fighting until the very end. Just to prevent that spirit to get stronger, though, André closed the game with his second goal, and left the Verdeamarela on top of the table again, with six points out of six and a solid +7 goal average.
Goals : 0-2 : Buru, min. 10 (1) ; 0-2 : Anderson, min. (1) ; 0-3: Jorginho, min. 11 (2); 1-3: Farberoff, min. (2); 1-4: Daniel, min. 4 (2); 1-5: Andre, min. 3 (2) 1-6: Daniel, min. 0 (2); 2-6: Farberoff, min. 5 (3); 2-7: André, min.
