After experiencing an unforgettable FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier at Puerto Vallarta, México, the Magic of Beach Soccer travels to Asia for a new great event: The II Asian Beach Games, taking place from this December 8th to 16th in the Al Musannah Sports City, Muscat (Oman). Up to 16 teams had their fate sorted at the official draw yesterday, and the final grouping composition goes as follows:

Japan and Thailand will open fire tomorrow, playing the opening match of this year’s edition in such a thrilling continental event. Hosts Oman, in turn, will not make first appearance until next Thursday, December 9th, 18:45 hrs (local time). These are the two first matchday schedules:

The Asian Beach Games is a multi-sport event sanctioned by the Olympic Council of Asia and held every 2 years, being the first edition organized in Bali, Indonesia, 18-26 October 2008. The Games encourage Asia’s youth to participate in sport and celebrate the vast and varied cultures found across the continent. It works to uplift national pride and create a festival of cooperation and camaraderie.
The Asian Beach Games are composed of a variety of modern sports as well as variations on traditional sports. More than 2.000 athletes from the 45 Asian countries are involved in the event.
