Terracina have brought in former 11-a-side Brazilian defender Cesar as they prepare for the European showdown in Catania.
ASD Terracina have completed an impressive signing ahead of the Euro Winners Cup 2016 in Catania next month after bringing in former Lazio and Internazionale defender Cesar.
The Italian club are among the names to feature at the competition from May 23rd to May 29th and have called on the services of the former Selecao full-back as they seek to add European silverware to their lengthy list of domestic titles.
Terracina, defending Serie A champions, have won the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italia three times each and will hope Cesar can help wrestle the Euro Winners Cup off defending champions BSC Krystall in Sicily.
The draw for the competitions takes place on May 4th and will also include European beach soccer powerhouses such as Catania BS, Sporting Braga, Grembach Lodz and Krylya Sovetov.
Cesar, 41, started his football career in Brazil before making the move to Italy with Lazio where he would stay for five years and become a regular for the capital club.
A loan spell at Inter then became permanent as Cesar featured at San Siro for two years before rounding off his playing career with Corinthians, Livorno, Bologna and Valle del Giovenco.
Currently a coach in Lazio’s youth setup, Cesar joins a host of other top football stars to take to the sand including former AC Milan and Brazil goalkeeper Dida, ex-Inter striker Alvaro Recoba and imposing Czech striker Jan Koller.
