Semi-finals ready for kick-off in the Africa Cup of Nations

The two finalists will secure places in Seychelles at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025

The CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations has reached its thrilling climax in Hurghada, as hosts Egypt, Senegal, Mauritania and Morocco will compete for continental supremacy, pride and coveted spots at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025.

Tournament hosts Egypt remained unbeaten during the group stage, and will face reigning champions Senegal in the semi-finals, who have demonstrated great resilience in this year’s competition so far.

Egypt will seek to improve on their runner-up finish in Mozambique in 2022, and will hope to replicate their fine form from this year’s group stage. Seven-time champions Senegal, who have won the last four AFCON competitions, boasts legendary captain Al Seyni Ndiaye, the tournament’s most successful player. Senegal’s dominance will be tested by host nation Egypt.

Debutants Mauritania, fuelled by their historic win over Senegal, take on Morocco. Victory from either nation would place them into their first-ever AFCON final and secure FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualification for the first time.

Mauritania stunned two-time champions Nigeria 6-5 on aggregate to qualify for the finals in Hurghada. Under coach Moussa Baghayogho, a former national team captain, Mauritania eye a historic end to the competition, as four-time AFCON bronze medal winners Morocco seek their first title.
