Another beach soccer event was organised by USA coach Francis Farberoff ahead of Dubai 2022

The USA’s National Beach Soccer League held another top-class beach soccer event the in October at Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida.

This Men’s Pro event served as a preparation for the national team players as they get ready to compete at the 2022 Intercontinental Beach Soccer Cup in Dubai, set to take place at the beginning of November.

The tournament consisted of three teams, each led by the experienced USA national team players, Nick Pereira, Chris Toth and Nicolas Perea. At the end of the day Chris Toth and the NBSL Purple team lifted the trophy thanks to an amazing performance by MVP, and one of the three Top Scorers, Chris Albinston.

Over 30 players from Florida, California and Virginia Beach travelled to South Florida for this one-day tournament. Leading up to this event, players participated in a Touchpoint Camp held by US Soccer under coach Francis Farberoff.

“Having this event was important to the players to have the opportunity to compete at a high level prior to going to Dubai”, the head coach commented following the camp.

Nicolas Perea and Andres Navas were the other two top scorers with four goals at the end of the day. Bahamian keeper Michael Butler took home the Golden Glove while newcomer Sasha Karlov from Virginia Beach took home the Rising Star.

NBSL is already planning the next event for the beginning of the 2023 season.
