Beach Soccer Worldwide and the Asian Football Confederation strengthen their relationship to boost the promotion and practice of Beach Soccer across the Asian continent
A new crucial step to foster the global growth of beach soccer was made yesterday , at the AFC headquarters in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The Asian Football Confederation and Beach Soccer Worldwide signed a preliminary agreement, through which both entities will collaborate, hand in hand, to empower the promotion and practice of Beach Soccer in the whole continent. Beach Soccer has found a very enriching and friendly soil in Asia, and with this agreement, the relationship between the sport and the thousands and thousands of passionate Asian supporters will find an even more solid environment. Having so many important episodes coming on, and the ones already rocking the Beach Soccer season year after year, this agreement was bound to take place.
With the Samsung Intercontinental Cup secured until 2017, the biannual Asian Beach Games or FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifiers and many other events coming soon, the agreement between the AFC and Beach Soccer Worldwide was a necessary move to make; one which will help backbone the beach soccer structures continentally and which will provide a solid basis for the sport to grow in all different scales: top level, women and grassroots.
