Pink and Yellow teams win NBSL Championships in Florida

Head Coach of the USA national teams Francis Faberoff was in attendance ahead of the upcoming international tournaments in Moscow

Fort Lauderdale Beach, Florida, was the stage on which yet another successful beach soccer tournament was set, organised by the National Beach Soccer League.

The competitions took place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 July, with the finals played on Sunday afternoon. The Yellows won the women’s division while the men’s was won by the Pink team, who defeated the Navy team on the final day.

Many of the players, including MVPs Ali Hall and David Mondragon, laid big claims to places at the upcoming tournaments in Moscow: the first ever Women’s Intercontinental Cup and – of course – the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

The official list of the players traveling to Russia will be released shortly by Head Coach of both the men’s and women’s national teams, Francis Faberoff, who mentioned the importance of the event in Fort Lauderdale ahead of the upcoming international tournaments. “It is great to see our national teams, both men and women, playing at a high level in preparation for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup and Women’s international Cup.”

Tournament organiser Aldo Balsano commented that, “the NBSL is committed to the growth of beach soccer and providing the highest level of competition for our athletes as they prepare for international competition.”
