The South American hosts will be graced by the USA, Spain, and Argentina from the 13th-15th of March in this competitive Cup
Paraguay is readying to do battle against Argentina, Spain, and the USA, beginning on March 13th until a champion is crowned on March 15th in the beautiful city of Encarnación. The BSWW Tour event will be in the heart of the city with the backdrop of a splendid lake, a picture site for this kind of beach party. This year marks the fourth time the Copa Encarnación will be played, with the three previous editions being just as amazing as this year is set to be, but this will be the first edition under the ever-growing BSWW Tour family.
The four national teams are all very much respected in their regions and have been champions of many tournaments in the past. Spain is coming into this tournament riding a wave of emotion and energy, after earning second place in the last FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, and already having qualified for the upcoming Portuguese edition. The United States will be looking to have another big year, like they did in 2013 when they won the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Tahiti 2013 – CONCACAF Qualifier Bahamas and went on to play very competitively in the World Cup itself. Argentina is fresh off a third place finish in Recife and will use this event as a tune-up for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015 – CONMEBOL Qualifier Ecuador set to being in April.
Paraguay has been very active in beach soccer in the recent years as they have just finished their National League Championships as well as finishing second at the Copa Sudamericana de Beach Soccer – Recife 2015. The city of Encarnación is more than excited to be hosting the BSWW Tour – Copa Encarnación de Beach Soccer 2015 in less than a month especially since the importance of the event is elevated by the fact that the city will be in the midst of celebrating its 400th year as a city.
