The two nations will meet in Thursday’s showpiece after victories on day two.
Oman and Iran will contest the final of the first Continental Beach Soccer Tournament in Ordos on Thursday after progressing through their respective semi-finals.
The finalists proved too strong for Lebanon and Bahrain on the opening day and both maintained their impressive form to knock out Vietnam and Japan respectively on Wednesday.
Iran are the competition’s highest scorers, as they put five past Japan in their semi-final after seeing off Bahrain 10-1 a day earlier.
On Thursday, Mohammad Hossien Mirshamsi’s side were made to work harder by a Japan side who cancelled out Farid Boulokbashi’s opener courtesy of Takuya Akaguma.
However, the remainder of the contest belonged to Iran – captain Mohammad Ahmadzadeh’s brace easing their progression to the final, where they will meet an Oman outfit who came from two goals down to get past Vietnam 7-3.
Tran Vinh Phong scored twice inside the opening four minutes as Vietnam started well, only for Oman to roar back and claim the victory – skipper Hani Dhabat on target alongside braces for Yahya al Araimi, Jalal Khamis and Mandhar Hilal.
Elsewhere in the competition, China gave the home fans something to cheer by getting past Lebanon 3-1 on penalties following a contest that remained all square at 2-2 after extra time.
They will face Thailand in the fifth-place play-off on Thursday after they picked up a 3-2 win over Bahrain.
