Official training day: first contact with the sand in Rio

Players and coaches fully focused 24 hours ahead of their debut in the IV Mundialito de Clubes Beach Soccer

The teams came down to the sand today, to get to feel the sensations this stadium at Barra da Tijuca transmits. In the official training day, the powder and magic of each one of the eight competing clubs was on display. But not evidently displayed, though, as coaches, and players alike, know that it is very important not to uncover their weapons, their most harmful tactics and their most surprising moves, too soon.

The Barra da Tijuca, south Rio, gets ready for the biggest beach soccer showdown ever to land in its sands. Sporting Clube de Portugal and Al Ahli will kick start the action (12:00pm, Rio time), followed by the clash between FC Barcelona and Levante (13:15). The first carioca side to hit the sand will be Fluminense, in their game against the defending champions, Corinthians, at 14:30h, while Flamengo and Vasco da Gama will square off in the last game of the day.

Everything is set and ready for the action, already. Remember the schedule for tomorrow ,with the first two matches broadcasted, LIVE, on beachsoccer.com:
