The Tiki Toa climb a place to sixth ahead of their FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup quarter-final.
Tahiti are May’s Movers of the Month for April after successfully lifting the Copa Pilsener in El Salvador.
The Tiki Toa – currently preparing for a quarter-final clash with Paraguay at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in The Bahamas – enjoyed a near-perfect campaign on the Costa del Sol in El Salvador as part of their preparations for the ongoing global showpiece.
Tahiti beat the hosts, Panama and Ecuador to comfortably finish the tournament top, conceding just nine goals in the process, and swap places with Switzerland to move into sixth.
The only other change in the top 10 sees Spain take up the final spot at the expense of UAE while El Salvador enjoy a one-place boost thanks to their participation on home sand at the Copa Pilsener.
The Tulip Festival Beach Soccer Tournament also took place in April with victors Belarus – who claimed maximum points against England, Turkey and Czech Republic – climbing three places to 30th.
Runners-up England move four spots to 30th, with the Turks and the Czechs now sitting in 44th and 33rd respectively.
Expect much more change in the rankings for May, which will take into account results at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
