The Irani-born takes new role at the Lebanese National Team, with the III Asian Beach Games as first big challenge ahead
Lebanon has just appointed Karim Moghaddam as the new National Coach. With only 36 years old, but a wide experience in Beach Soccer, the Irani-born joins the Lebanese side with a big objective ahead: steering the team to an outstanding performance in these coming Asian Beach Games, to be held in June 16th-22th in Haiyang (China).
Moghaddam’s career has been strongly linked to Beach Soccer since his very first official steps. With just 25 years, he became the founder of the Beach Soccer department in Iran, to be appointed as Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee in the Iran Football Association, and the Beach Soccer League, from 2005 to 2008. As the Iran National Beach Soccer Team Technical Director, he achieved great results in the Asian Qualifier for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, getting the team qualified in 2006 and 2007.
After his experience as Head Coach with the Philippines Beach Soccer National Team, he gets the trust from the Lebanon Football Association to coach the National Beach Soccer side, with a great challenge coming in just three months, with the III Asian Beach Games and, later on, the Asian Qualifiers for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2013.
