The Russian club earns 1st place while host, Besitkas, earns 2nd as competitive tournament comes to a close
The 8-6 win for FC Lokomotiv over Besitkas JK showed how great a well-oiled machine can perform on the pitch. The game began with a defense first mentality and then like is common in beach soccer, turned into a high scoring affair with late game dramatics and of course a king was anointed. The loss was the first of the tournament for the host team though they very well could have won this match as well. Lokomotiv needed to win to get the Cup, as a loss would have slipped them to third place, and they used that knowledge to strike often in the victory.
The opening frame saw both teams focusing on the opponent’s tactics and finding a way to exploit them. The lone goal in the period was scored late and gave the hosts the first period lead. The second period had three spectacular goals scored, with two of them coming from the Russian club and Lokomotiv took a two goal lead into the final frame. The last period had more goals than the previous two periods combined and the excitement to match. The Russian side went up by four goals on two occasions but the Turkish club continued to fight to get within two goals, though their two last second goals still left them short.

Milano earns 3rd place in Istanbul Cup
The 4-3 win for Milano BS over Al-Ahli FC was emotional and thrilling as they were forced to comeback from an early three goal deficit. The UAE club, Al-Ahli, started fast and strong and held a 3-0 lead in the second period. The Italians dug deep and figured out a way to crack the Al-Ahli defense and score. The win gives Milano 3rd place in the highly competitive Istanbul Cup, as the top three teams all had two wins and one loss. Al-Ahli played extremely well in each match but was unable to defeat the Russian, Italian, or Turkish sides.
The opening period was a blur for Italy as they blinked and looked at the scoreboard and found themselves down by three goals as the first horn sounded. The second period was a different story as Milano came out firing and scored an early goal to get that much closer to the UAE club. A mere two minutes later, the Italian squad scored again and even added a last second goal in the middle frame to even things at 3 heading to the final period. The last period was tense as both teams had the chance to score and take the lead but Milano took charge in the middle of the frame and scored the only goal of the period, effectively giving them the 1 goal victory, 4-3.
