The Lebanese claim the International Beach Soccer Sharm El Sheikh thanks to a solid beach soccer display, as England clinches 3rd
Lebanon claimed the Cup in this opening International Beach Soccer Egypt Sharm El Sheikh, after upsetting the hosts with a consistent win. The fight was amazingly balanced for most of the match, with amazing turnovers and incredible equalizers almost under de hooter. Both first and second periods ended with the score tied (1-1 and 3-3). But in the third frame, the Lebanese finally took off, getting ahead once again with Merhi’s 3-4, and sealing the win with Fattal’s 3-5. Despite being ready to fight during the whole competition, Egypt found themselves unable to counteract what Lebanon had already built, and final whistle left the Pharaohs with the second place in the competition.
In the match for the 3rd place, England gave Romania not option at all, and with some timely attacks and sound defence earned the bronze in Sharm El Sheikh. The Carpathians resisted only one period, in which they stayed within a one-goal difference, but, as the second period began, the Three Lions kept punishing their nets to the final 1-8.
