Lady Grembach Lodz extend their reign in Poland

The defending Polish Cup Champions win their third consecutive National Championship

Lady Grembach Lodz seized the Poland’s National League trophy for the third time this past weekend, following a penalty kick win over Sparta Daleszyce after a tightly contested final.

Eight teams, qualified from the previous stages (Poland’s Cup), took part in this final stage, held at Kolobrzeg, that stands as the 13th edition of the Women’s National Championship in Poland, a country that has been developing beach soccer thoroughly.

In the individual awards, Kinga Kurek (Lady Grembach Lodz) was named the tournament’s MVP. Patrycja Zawlocka (Sparta Daleszyce) was chosen the best goalkeeper, and Justyna Wojcik (ISD UJD Czestochowa) became the top scorer.

With this new title, Lady Grembach, brilliantly coached by the experienced and successful Jaroslaw Jagielski, extend their stunning run. It only took Lady Grembach one year after their debut in the local competition in 2016 to seize their first crown. In 2017, their indisputable dominance began, clinching the national throne three times in a row (2017, 2018 and 2019). This season, Lady Grembach even added a new trophy to their cabinet, by clinching the maiden edition of the Polish Cup, new competition in Poland’s beach soccer calendar.
