The Iranian, a big beach soccer expert, will face his next coaching challenges for the Al-Azraq after successfully steering Lebanon
Karim Moghaddam has just signed as new coach of the Kuwait National side, opening a new chapter is his already illustrious career, and targets to put Kuwaiti in the highest ring of Asian beach soccer.
The Iranian coach is the perfect man to have at the helm of your beach soccer program as he embodies the perfect combination of youth and experience at the highest level. The 39 year old coach founded the modern beach soccer structure that is now in place in Iran and became the first Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee in Iran, all in 2003. He also laid the groundwork for future generations as the first Beach Soccer Instructor in Iran, a role he held until 2011.
The foundational leadership that Karim has is not the only qualification he has, as he has also directly managed many successful teams. His first coaching stint came in 2003 as the manager of the Iran National Selection. The SAIPA Club in the Iran Beach Soccer Pro League also utilized his talents for the 2010 season and in 2012 the Lebanon National Team called upon him to man their bench, brightly clinching the fourth place in the Asian Beach Games in Haiyang (China).
The experience means nothing without the accolades and lucky for Kuwait and the beach soccer world, Karim Moghaddam has both. He coached the Iranian National Team to 3rd place in the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifers in 2006 and 2007. The SAIPA Club enjoyed the league championship in 2010 with Karim in control. Lebanon’s success with him as their coach included 2nd and 3rd place in the 2012 and 2013 Copa Lagos Beach Soccer Tournament.
All eyes will be on Kuwait and Karim to see what their futures hold.
