The Polish champs made it their third time on the beach soccer throne
After making it all the way to the final of the Euro Winners Cup, KP Lodz returned to the top of beach soccer in Poland with a tight 3-2 win over Boca Gdansk.
KP Lodz claimed the national championship last Sunday, on top of a sixth consecutive Polish Cup.
The final phase took place in Kolobrzeg, as it had the year before, on Sunday 11 August. Despite mounting a spirited comeback in the final period, last year’s finalists, Boca Gdansk, fell to three three early KP Lodz goals.
It was the third title they had won, having previously claimed the championship in 2017 and 2014.
The Polish national star Filip Gac claimed the MVP award, while fellow KP Lodz player, Eliott Mounoud, bagged the best goalkeeper trophy. The top scorer went to Silesia C10 Zgierz striker Marian Maciuca.
It has been a great year for this side; who knows what the next season will hold for the powerhouse Poles?
