More than 2000 people experienced in Netanya the first leg of the Israeli championship, with 36 goals in four matches
Last weekend, the Israeli National Beach Soccer League kicked off at the coastal city of Netanya. Four matches meant the starting signal of this new season which began, as expected, with lots of goals and a wonderful atmosphere. More than 2000 people enjoyed from the stands the first leg of this summer-long championship, witnessing up to 36 goals. Israel target man Ilhan Iloz, coming back home to last season runner-ups Netanya after his seasons with Hader, was one of the main protagonists of the showpiece, scoring two goals for his team’s victory over Eliat (5-2).
Ten teams will again take part in the competition: the ones from the capital Tel-Aviv, Netanya, Jerusalem, Haifa, Eilat, current champions Kfar-Saba, Kfar-Kasem, Rosh-ha’ain, Petach-Tiqwa and Hader. The Israeli National Beach Soccer League has established itself as a regular competition year after year, and is one of the key elements for the Israel National side to become more and more competitive every year. Indeed, the National League is the best way for players such as Iloz or Yatim, among many others, to prepare the EBSL Promotion Final they will compete in next August (Moscow) fighting for a Division A berth for Israel.
