Copenhagen hosted Swedish side Bemannia in club friendlies
The Danish capital held some beach soccer club friendlies this weekend, as local side Copenhagen hosted Swedish club Bemannia Stockholm.
Three games were played at the weekend and the more experienced Copenhagen BSC won them all. These were the results:
– Copenhagen 4-2 Bemannia
– Copenhagen 7-5 Bemannia
– Copenhagen 8-2 Bemannia
Bemannia Stockholm is a new team on the beach soccer scene but are working really hard to grow and establish themselves in the sport.
The Swedes, unlike their Danish counterparts, had managed to travel to Nazaré in September for their first ever appearance at the Euro Winners Cup, where they narrowly missed out on a place in the knockout stage.
Copenhagen were unable to take part the Euro Winners Cup in Nazaré this year, so it was a relief for many of the players to finally compete again after a long year with COVID 19 and no beach soccer.
The weather in Denmark held out for the matches, with a rain-free and sunny weekend with temperatures of 17 degrees.
The teams are currently in talks to arrange more matches in the future to continue to keep beach soccer active and developing.
