First teams earn semi-finals in Egypt

The results in the second matchday have the hosts, Lebanon and England accessing next round, the day Mitch Day got his 100th cap for the Three Lions

As competition progresses, things get clearer in Egypt. After matchday two in the International Beach Soccer – Egypt Sharm El Shaikh, three teams have already secured their berth onto next round.

The tight win by Lebanon over Romania (4-3) already had Karim Moghaddam’s side progressing to semi-finals as the best team in group B, with a total record of four points. The match between Romania and Hungary will decide who is the team accompanying the Lebanese to semifinals.

In the other group, things are even clearer. England’s narrow victory over Kuwait left the Asians with no option, and confirmed both Europeans and hosts will be in the semi-finals of the competition. In that game, moreover, English target man Mitch Day earned his 100th cap. Only thing to discern now is who accesses next round as the first-ranked side in group A, something Egypt and England will fight for this afternoon.
