Final confirmation of Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal and Euro Winners Cup

After the publication of the Health Protocol by the Portuguese Bureaux of Health (DGS) both competitions receive final go-ahead

After the publication of the Health Protocols by the Portuguese Bureaux of Health (Direção Geral de Saúde), the Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal, the Women’s Euro Winners Cup and the Euro Winners Cup will take place in the weeks already scheduled.

The final confirmed dates will be as follows:

– Euro Beach Soccer League Superfinal Nazaré 2020: 2-6 September

– Euro Winners Cup Men: 8-13 September*

– Women’s Euro Winners Cup: 9-13 September*

*(The start dates of the competition may vary slightly depending on the final number of participating teams).

The final competition format will be announced during the week, once Beach Soccer Worldwide has received all the confirmations of the participating teams.

Unfortunately, because of the problems many national teams have encountered in arranging travel from their countries, both the Euro Beach Soccer League Promotion Final and the Women’s Euro Beach Soccer Cup will be postponed. Beach Soccer Worldwide will try to find the conditions for them to happen during 2020, assuming that the situation with the Covid-19 pandemic improves opportunities to do so.

The Protocols for COVID-19 will be sent to all the participating teams (both national teams and clubs). All the teams have to secure the prevention measures of sanitisation and social distancing, both in and outside of the venue.

All the teams will be asked to arrive in Portugal with Covid-19 tests (48/72 hours before the competition). Moreover, and according with the DGS and FPF regulations and protocols, during the competition some Covid-19 tests will be carried out on players at random. (These test will be paid for by each of the FA’s).

Please stay tuned to beachsoccer.com for further updates on teams, dates and schedules, and do not hesitate to contact BSWW Competitions Department if you have any comment or doubt.
