Group C
Senegal win 7-3 against Chile.
Senegal opened strongly with a composed finish from Mandione just two minutes into the match against Chile in Group C. A defensive lapse by Chile allowed Sidy to double Senegal’s lead midway through the first period, giving them a 2-0 lead going into the break.
Early in the second period, Diatta extended the advantage with a brilliant diving header. Chile responded with a goal from Tobar, but Senegal hit back immediately as Sidy bagged his second to restore the three-goal margin. In the closing moments of the period, Mandione calmly slotted in his second of the match, bringing the score to 5-1.
Tobar netted again for Chile in the final period to reduce the deficit to 5-2, but Sanou Laye quickly responded from the penalty spot to make it 6-2. With two minutes remaining, San Martin scored for Chile, but Senegal had the final say as Diatta delivered another diving header to seal a commanding 7-3 victory and secure their spot in the knockout stage.
Spain win 8-3 against Tahiti.
It was a high-intensity encounter between Spain and Tahiti. Spain opened the scoring with a composed spot kick from Ramy, just a minute before the end of the first period, giving them a narrow 1–0 lead.
Midway through the second period, David Ardil doubled Spain’s lead, and moments later, Suli Batis added a third with a clinical left-footed strike. Tahiti responded through a well-taken spot kick from Tinirauarii, and an own goal by Chiky Ardil brought them within one. However, a powerful long-range effort from Spain’s goalkeeper Juanmi and a composed finish from Chiky Ardil pushed Spain ahead 5-2 by the end of the period.
Spain dominated the final period. Ramy scored his second with a perfectly timed header, Suli Batis added his brace, and Galindo extended the lead to 8-2. Tahiti’s Salem scored a spectacular overhead kick from midfield, but it was only a consolation as Spain closed out an emphatic 8-3 victory to advance to the quarter-finals.
Group D
Italy win 5-0 against El Salvador.
Italy delivered a composed and clinical performance to defeat El Salvador 5-0 in their final group stage clash. Genovali opened the scoring early in the first period, converting a penalty kick straight down the middle. Bertacca then doubled the lead with a fine strike just seconds before the end of the period, giving Italy a comfortable 2-0 advantage.
The second period remained largely in Italy’s control, with few chances falling to El Salvador. Genovali netted his second of the game from the spot, and Josep Jr. followed suit shortly after, also converting a penalty to make it 4-0. Despite their efforts, El Salvador were unable to break through Italy’s solid defence.
Italy sealed the result midway through the final period when captain Zurlo scored with a precise finish, assisted by Josep Jr. The 5-0 scoreline capped off an strong group stage performance by the Italians, who progressed into the knockout round.
Brazil win 11-1 against Oman.
Defending champions Brazil delivered a dominant performance. Just two minutes into the game, Édson Hulk converted a spot kick before Rodrigo added a spectacular acrobatic finish to double the lead. Thanger’s powerful left-footed strike made it 3-0, and with two minutes left in the period, Brendo headed in from close range to a comfortable 4-0 lead.
The second period saw no goals scored. Oman continued to struggle in front of goal while Brazil maintained their comfortable 4-0 lead heading into the final period.
Brazil turned up the heat in the third period. Benjinha’s penalty strike bounced past the Omani goalkeeper, followed quickly by a sublime goal from Catarino and another goal from Brendo to make it 7-0. Oman finally got on the scoreboard through Sami with three minutes to play, but Brazil responded emphatically. Catarino completed his hat-trick, and goals from Mauricinho and Benjinha sealed an overwhelming 11-1 victory over Oman.
