Spain edged Belarus in a thrilling comeback, while Switzerland overturned an early deficit to beat Portugal on day 3 in Viareggio.

Group B
Switzerland win 8-3 against Portugal
Portugal made the perfect start as Leo Martins struck just two minutes into the opening period to put his side ahead. Switzerland responded through Knöpfl, who levelled before the first break

Bê Martins restored Portugal’s lead at the restart, but Switzerland quickly took control with four unanswered goals. Ott, Steinemann, Rodrigues and Borer all found the net to put Switzerland 5-2 ahead.

Switzerland continued their dominance in the final period, with Borer adding his second before Knöpfl completed his hat-trick with two more goals, sealing an emphatic 8-3 victory.

Group B
Spain win 8-7 against Belarus
Belarus made the stronger start, with Drozd and Chaikouski finding the net to put their side 2-0 ahead. Ramy pulled one back for Spain, but Chaikouski struck again to restore Belarus’ two-goal advantage.

Bryshtsel and Ryabko extended Belarus’ lead early in the second period, but Spain responded with a stunning five-goal comeback. Ramy completed a hat-trick, while Suli Batis and Chiky Ardil also scored as Spain turned the game around to lead 6-5.

Bryshtsel levelled early in the final period, but Pablo and Suli Batis restored Spain’s advantage. Bryshtsel completed his hat-trick in the final minute, yet Spain held firm to secure a dramatic 8-7 victory.
