El Salvador rebounded from an opening defeat to keep alive their Tahiti 2013 ambitions with a deserved 5-1 win over tournament debutants Netherlands.
The result set up an effective play-off between El Salvador and Solomon Islands for the second qualification spot with Argentina confirmed as progressing.
The match was a tight contest at the start but El Salvador gradually got on top and were impressive winners.
The two teams swapped three goals within a minute in the first period in a remarkable exchange of end to end action.
Notably, Matthijs Van Gessel created a landmark moment as the Netherlands scored their first-ever goal at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
It was to be the end of the Dutch joy, however, as Tomas Hernandez added a third in the second period for the Central Americans.
The final period saw Frank Velasquez get his second, this time from the penalty spot, and Jose Batres added insurance.
