Matchday 2 of the El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup delivered another wave of action, with decisive wins and high-scoring encounters shaping the path to the finals. In the women’s competition, El Salvador secured their place in the championship match against Portugal, while the men’s fixtures saw Brazil continue their dominant form and El Salvador edge Colombia in a thrilling contest.

Portugal win 6-0 against Mexico

Portugal took control midway through the opening period, as Inês Cruis found the breakthrough with a composed finish into the top corner to give her side a 1–0 lead.

The second period saw Portugal extend their advantage late on, with Ferrereira converting from a well-worked corner set piece. Moments later, Flores added a third with a powerful long-range strike just seconds before the break.

Portugal continued their dominance in the final period, as Marta struck early to make it 4–0. Carolina added a fifth, before an own goal from Mexico sealed a comprehensive 6–0 victory for the Portuguese side.

El Salvador made a strong start, taking an early lead through Calderon before Brazil responded with Taii’s composed volley to level the score at 1–1 in the opening period.

The second period delivered a flurry of goals, as Rivera restored El Salvador’s lead before Fatima Pérez doubled the advantage with a brilliant backheel. Brazil fought back through Giulia and a stunning long-range volley from Cecilia to draw level, but Calderon’s second put the hosts ahead again. Taii responded instantly for Brazil, only for Pérez to strike once more and send El Salvador into the final period with the edge.

The decisive moment came late in the third period, as Calderon completed her hat-trick with a spectacular acrobatic finish to seal the victory. The result secures El Salvador’s place in the championship match against Portugal.

Brazil dominates the game in a brilliant display

Brazil 10-3 Denmark
Denmark made a dream start as Pilgaard scored straight from the opening kick to take an early lead. Brazil responded quickly through Maurichinho, before Tulio Silva headed them in front midway through the period. Damm brought Denmark level at 2–2, but Brazil regained control with goals from Thanger and Antonio to close the first period with a 4–2 advantage.

Brazil extended their dominance in the second period, capitalising on a Denmark own goal before Rodrigo and Benjamin Jr added to the tally. Despite Damm’s acrobatic finish to complete his brace for Denmark, Brazil remained firmly in control with a commanding lead heading into the final period.

The third period saw Brazil continue their attacking display, with Maurichinho striking again immediately after the restart. Another Denmark own goal and a finish from Breno Xavier sealed the result, as Brazil cruised to an emphatic 10–3 victory.

El Salvador 8-5 Colombia
Colombia raced into an early advantage, striking twice late in the opening period through Ossa and Esleider to take a 2–0 lead. El Salvador responded just before the break, as Vasquez found the net to reduce the deficit to 2–1.

The second period saw momentum swing back and forth, with Ossa restoring Colombia’s two-goal cushion before Vasquez struck twice to level the contest at 3–3. Pantoja briefly put Colombia ahead again, but Castro and Cerna responded for El Salvador to give the hosts a 5–4 lead heading into the final period.

El Salvador took control in the third period, with Osorio scoring early before Cerna extended the lead further. Although Ossa pulled one back for Colombia, Cerna completed his hat-trick late on to seal a 8–5 victory for the hosts.
