El Salvador and Panama lead their groups in Bahamas

The two nations won once again


Group A
El Salvador claimed their second victory on the second day of action at the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship, winning 7-0 against Guatemala. Heber Ramos netted two for his nation as Castro, Ruiz, Cerna, Velásquez, and Batres all hit the target for the Salvadorans.

Mexico registered their first win at this year’s competition with a 3-1 triumph over Costa Rica. Mexican goalkeeper Macías, Acevedo and López all struck for victors, while Jimenez scored Costa Rica’s only goal of the match. 

Group B
Panama won their second match of CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship, securing all three points with a 5-3 victory against Trinidad & Tobago to remain undefeated in Group B. Players from both teams were shown red cards in the fixture, as Maquensi fired home a hat-trick for the Panama side and García scored two for the nation.

Bahamas picked up their first victory at the CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship, beating USA 3-2 on home soil. Valcarcel scored a brace in the fixture for the Americans, however, goals from Adderley, Julmis and Munnings ensured that Bahamas would end the match on top.
