The Poles tasted defeat in Barcelona as part of their FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup preparations.
European champions Poland continued their preparations for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup with a friendly against Catalunya in Barcelona on Thursday.
Marcin Stanislawski’s men – who will head to the Bahamas as continental champions after their impressive displays in Jesolo last year – were beaten 6-3 by a Catalan side filled with talent such as Llorenç Gomez and Eduard Suarez.
Held at the Centre d’Alt Rendiment in Sant Cugat del Vallès, just outside Barcelona, Poland were given a through workout as Llorenç and Eduard registered twice each alongside further goals from Adrian Frutos and Carlos Millan.
Pawel Friszkemut and Jakub Jesionowski were on target for Poland, who return home ahead of further friendlies next month in Portugal.
Stanislawski and co have been headed a tough group for what will be their second FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup campaign, where they will go up against Brazil, Tahiti and Japan in Group D.
