BSC Servit win Winter Beach Soccer Championship in Ukraine

The brand-new indoor arena in the capital Kiev hosted the competition


The first Winter Beach Soccer Festival was held in the Ukrainian capital between 17 and 23 December in the new state-of-the-art indoor arena.

BSC Servit won the competition after beating Artur Music in the final last Thursday.

Eight of the top beach soccer teams from across Kiev took part in the event, with FC Alternativa finishing in third after defeating BSC Dominos in the playoff for bronze.

In an awards ceremony held to celebrate the best players of year, President of the Football Federation of Ukraine, Pavelko Andrij, along with the Vice Presidents of Beach Soccer, attended the event to award Dmytro Vojtenko, Igor Borsuk and Andrij Evdokimov as the Best Ukrainian Players of the 2021 season.

On top of that, Pavelko Andriy presented the Jubilee Medal to Sergei Kharchenko, owner of City of Sport in the Kiev, for “significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian football”.

Eugene Varenitsa , ex-coach of the Ukraine beach soccer national team, was awarded the Order of the President of the UAF as a “Legend of Ukrainian Beach soccer “.
